Frugal Fridays

I have had a great frugal week. Bills are paid until the end of the month and this weeks grocery and paper shop were way down. What a great way to save money and time.

I used $8.00 worth of coupons shopping this week. While this might not seem much to those who are coupon users, this was the best I have ever done.

I brought a bit of cash into our account by subbing at one of the schools.

Used up lots of those pesky leftovers in the fridge freezers making suppers this week as well as used up leftovers in the fridge itself making those suppers.

I have also been using up bits of my yarn stash making those slouchy hats for my nieces for Christmas gifts.

Still turning down the heat in our bedroom during the day. Which should save us cash in the long run.

Drapes and blinds have been opened during the day to let in what sunlight is available, and since we have large expanses of glass facing south this has helped keep our house warm on those sunny days and the furnace is kept from running constantly.

Using up, making do or doing without is making me realize how much we really have.
