Thrifty Tuesday

I have made a couple of thrifty moves this past week.

Harvey had a few socks that were beyond the darning point so I cut them into rings to use as plant ties. Now I have enough to tie up the tomato plants and even some of my vines once I get them started.

I downloaded 6 free books onto my ereader today. Since it has been so cold lately I have found I am reading slightly more than usual and these should see me through a couple more weeks.

I have been lucky enough to get a few surveys that I could actually complete for points. Adding to the total number of points I already have and very soon I will be able to get a couple more gift cards.

Harvey fixed my treadmill today. The main walking belt had stretched and was causing a slight hesitation every third step, and the belt off the motor was getting worn down as well. Now, instead of having to get a new treadmill this old friend will last for a bit longer. Good thing, cause even on sale treadmills are pretty darn pricey.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

  1. You are, by far, one of the thriftiest people I've ever known. Wish I was a little more creative in using things that have outlived their former life. When they wear out or quit working, I just toss them.....
