Sunday Ramblings

Well, we seem to have gotten ourselves storm stayed here for another day, and we are hoping the weather is better tomorrow. It is kind of scary when the police send a Tweet stating that a semi has jack-knifed on the road we would be using to get home.

So instead of being bored I cleaned Kris's microwave, scrubbed down his sinks, and dusted his living room. I think I will clean out the kitty litter box next, and perhaps sweep the floors once again.

Kris is using some hydroponics to grow some lettuce. He is planning to get something set up in his basement to grow some herbs, and perhaps a few more veggies. His basement has huge windows and gets a great deal of light.

Here is a photo of the lettuce growing and the weird lighting that is necessary.

He plans on adding two more plants once he figures out the timing. He also has his strawberry plant beside and plans to move his small cherry trees in front.

Here the guys are watching hockey last night.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.

  2. That is a strange color. I wish him good success in growing indoors. I've not ever had any luck with that with veggies. Glad you decided to lay low during the storm.

  3. I'm glad you decided to stay for an extra day. My brother came back from Brandon yesterday - highways were fine until they reached Balgonie, but I'm pretty certain things got worse towards your community. No point in risking life and limb when you have a warm place to stay.
    Safe travels!

  4. Unusual to have good lighting in basements. Most basements around here have itty bitty little windows that wouldn't provide enough. That's cool he's trying to do so much indoors like that. Sorry you're stranded, but hopefully it gives you more time to enjoy each others company. And he no doubt appreciates your hard work.

  5. Better safe than sorry Jackie. Praying for travelling mercies for you & Harvey. They hydroponics lettuce sounds interesting. I'm going to research it to learn a bit more.

Is that a Switch game Kris has charging on the sofa? I didn't know you can charge the game without the dock. Can you please ask him where he bought the charger wire? We are big gamers, so I always have to keep up with things to keep DS happy :)
